Letter re worship services June 2020
2nd June 2020
Dear church family,
I guess that by now we are all aware of the restrictions that have been placed on our movements and the associated social distancing regulations that have been set out by our government over the past months. All these measures have been put in place to keep us safe from the Covid-19 virus and have affected us Individually and as a church community. The results of these restrictions has been that we have been unable to conduct any of our regular church meetings and have been using YouTube, Zoom and other means to keep in touch.
As of the 1st of June our government has eased some of the restrictions and is allowing us to meet in our church building for worship services etc. However social distancing restrictions including restrictions on congregational singing will apply with the result that it is not practical for us to have our regular Sunday morning worship services at this stage. We will continue to produce the YouTube presentation of our worship service for you to view on Sunday morning.
The easing of restrictions has allowed us to meet at the church for some church services.
As from Wednesday 4th of June we will recommence our regular prayer meeting at 7.pm.
As from Friday 12th of June we will recommence Kid’s Club at 4.30 – 5.30.pm and Youth Group at 6- 7.pm.
As from Sunday 14th of June we will commence an adult Sunday school/Bible Study class at 9.am – 10.am. giving you time to get back home to watch the 11.am church service on YouTube.
The Annual General Meeting of the church will be held on Sunday 28th of June at 9.am replacing the adult Sunday School/Bible Study for that morning. (information will be sent out to members next week).
Thank you all for your continuing support of Shoalhaven Baptist Church, please continue to pray for the safety of each other and the return of some kind of normality that will allow us to once again return to church for our full Sunday morning worship and Sunday school services.
God Bless.
